Spunky the Monkey

Last weekend was Brantlee's first official recital. Her class performed to "Spunky the Monkey." And before it was all said and done, the entire family including a few grandparents could sing the song and do the dance moves. This recital stuff is serious business we learned! Between professional pictures, dress rehearsal, technical rehearsal, making sure the costume and accessories fit, doing make up, and (DON'T forget!) the flowers at the end, I wasn't sure we were cut out for this, ha! I mean, she is THREE!! But it really was fun ;)

Here we are after our first attempt at putting on make up. I had some seriously mixed emotions about putting make up on our 3 year old, ha. To my surprise she wasn't really that into it. Thank goodness! I was hoping she wouldn't think we needed mascara for every occasion.

Lots to catch up on... Aside from everyday life, we've had VBS this week (whew!), nesting and nursery updates, AND Baby Crager threw us a major curve ball this week!
