Already time???

Is it just me or did the holidays come out of nowhere this year?! Crazy! I have been in total denial about it. And what's even crazier is that in a little more than a month, it will all be over :( So much fun stuff planned tho! But first I need to document the kids' Thanksgiving feasts and the end of soccer season before the year gets away from me. We are on Thanksgiving break and we are loving the cold weather right now and decorating for Christmas this week.

Brantlee and Fischer had a feast and dressed as Indians. Sunflower and Thunderbird had a great time on Wednesday.

Kyle and I joined Collin and his class for a Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. I wanted a picture of all three of us while we were eating, but he was too cool for school and wouldn't have it. 

 The next day he hopped in the car as an Indian. And we drove off very happy to not be back for 10 days! (But whose counting anyway?)

Collin played soccer for the Tigers this season.  He moved up a league, U-8. He didn't love soccer this season and I doubt he'll play in the spring, which is unfortunate.  But this is his choice and it is just fine with us. We are proud regardless.

He had GREAT coaches, and I love that they prayed with the team before every game.

Way to go Collin!

15 Months (a month or so late)

When the doctor walked in for Ty's 15 month checkup a month ago, the first thing she said was, "Well, you don't have a baby anymore!" And she is right. Well, not really. But Ty is growing up so fast, it is so sad! He thinks he is as big as the big kids. He wants to do exactly what they do and eat and drink exactly what they eat.  He even fights me to use his own fork and feed himself :( :( He is too big for his britches most of the time, and this usually results in some form of an injury. Everyday.  We can't keep up.  I don't remember B or Collin being this active!! He loves to climb, jump, run, hit (unfortunately), pull, and push. 

He still is very sweet tho. He loves to hug and pat on us and he loves to be loved on. He weighed 26 lbs and was 31 inches long at his 15 month appointment. He still eats EVERYTHING in sight. 

Here are his words: hot, CaCa (Collin), Sissy, juice, light, apple, golf cart (ga cot), good, bye, Nana, dog, and lots of grunts and growls when we don't know what he wants. 

Ty is the typical 3rd child I think. He pretty much does what he has to do when he has to do it with no regard to a schedule. I'm exaggerating a little, but he really is a tough cookie and a survivor. He has to be! 

We love our special Ty Ty more than he'll ever know!

The Fair

We had a great time at the fair this year. Both kids were fearless and were able to ride whatever they wanted. Ty did not attend and I started to have a twinge of mommy guilt over it. Then we got there and I was reminded that we made a good choice. He spent the night with Lolly and we could focus on just the big kids. We stayed out too late on a school night and ate too much food. Exactly what should happen once a year!

B and I had a girls day and went to Rotary Fest a while back. It was one of the most beautiful fall days. 

Fall also means the kids pass around the crud and we end up making multiple dr visits :/

We decided Chuck E Cheese is Ty's idea of heaven. Lots of space to run around and push a million buttons and not get told 'No' a single time!

Date night with Collin happened last weekend. It was an unexpected date, which are the best kind. I am realizing more and more how important one on one time is with each child. I cherish it!

It was so cold this past week and nobody understood why they had to wear shoes and coats to play outside. It's like pulling teeth! Mississippi problems I suppose. 

Halloween 2013

I would say Halloween was a success this year! We decided we needed more than just one night to wear the costumes, so we went to Zoo Boo earlier that week.  It was actually scary (well at least for one of the children below) but fun nonetheless. Plus it got us in the fall spirit.

B felt so sassy in her cheer suit.  Uncle Derek and Aunt Casey are so proud of their little cheerleader. And THEY are the ones fully responsible for the costume. Let's clarify that!

Collin was all about being a brave warrior. I think he was inspired by his school mascot... only Collin :)

Super Ty Man! I wasn't about to attempt a full blown costume with this fella. No sir.  Not after our Elmo costume disaster.  So Lolly whipped out this shirt, which was just perfect for him!

On Halloween night we had some horrible weather but it held off for a little trick or treating at the great grandparents' houses.  Here is Mee Maw with her little costumers. They stopped by  and visited Mimi' & Paw Paw too. Lolly was kind enough to snap some pictures. Meanwhile Kyle and I were at church frantically getting ready for our Trunk or Treat festival that had to be moved inside at the last minute.

As it turns out, it was a great success despite the rain and change in plans!
