And that's a wrap...

Our school year is over! Our Collin has graduated from kindergarten and Miss B has wrapped up her first year in preschool. What a wonderful school year!! We could not have hand-picked better teachers. Collin's graduation was so precious. Each child had a verse to recite. His was "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Matthew 5:8.

And what a genuinely pure heart you have, Collin :) I cry thinking about how proud we are of you! I CANNOT believe we have a 1st grader now. It's too much! But God has big plans for you and we are excited to cheer you on and let go little by little.

Receiving his diploma from his amazing teacher Mrs. Harper

Our cheering section (minus Pammie and B, who were off getting into who knows what at the moment ;)

Last day of K5!

Last Day of K3!

I love my children, and I want this picture framed :) :)

And since it's summer, I need to add a few more unrelated photos from spring!
Ty swam for the first time Wednesday!! The water was a little chilly but he really liked it!

Brantlee is doing GREAT at gymnastics! She can do a cart wheel. And her back bend is impressive too! We are taking the month of June off from gymnastics. She may start back in July. Some days she says she'd rather take dance again... so we shall see. Either way, I'm proud of my big girl.

Our soccer team had a great season. Collin scored 3 goals and has really enjoyed playing. We'll hang up the cleats until fall season.

We went to a dinosaur exhibit. We left with these beautifully (over priced) painted faces that washed off that night. It's all about the memories I suppose.

We had a crawfish boil with some friends a while back and had the best time.

Sweet brothers
My Brantlee Bug :) Big brother got lots of glory for his graduation (rightfully so!) but I need to give some blog love to our baby girl. She has blown us away with all she has learned this year. She is reading and sounding out words. She is such a little lady, and she NEVER meets a stranger. She pulls for the underdog and loves, loves, loves all her friends at school. Beneath all the sassiness, she has a very sweet spirit and a kind heart. We couldn't be more proud of her.

And here is our Ty man. Better known as "Tornado Ty."  He is into EVERYTHING!! While my emotions are a little high with this post, I might as well go ahead and drop the news that WE HAVE A WALKER!! My tears have now shifted to tears of fatigue. Whew! He started walking on Mother's Day. He is so proud of himself. Watch out world!!

Mother's Day Weekend

We had one of the busiest weekends we've had in a while. So much fun tho! On Friday we went to a dinosaur exhibit (pictures on my cell phone) and the kids had the best time. Ty slept 45 minutes the entire day (?!?!) but we somehow managed to squeeze in dinner too. Saturday was party day! We had Maddy's tea party that morning, Tate's 2nd birthday at 1 p.m., and a couples baby shower for a college friend of Kyle's that evening. The kids stayed with Mee Maw and Pammie. I think fun was had by all, but I know some tired little people (and adults) after all that.

Here are a few pictures from the birthday. Tate was everything a two year old should be: adorable, excited, and unpredictable. We love this little brown-eyed boy!

Ty loved the jumper!
This day was the only day the temperatures were warm this week, so you know that water was cold. Yikes!!

And of course today is Mother's Day! Having all our munchkins giggling and hoping all over me this morning  in pajamas and so excited about their gifts they picked out was far better than anything you can ever put in a gift bag. My heart is so full :)

Nana and Poppa came to church with us and came over for lunch. Kyle cooked some delicious pork on the smoker. I am so over myself that I did not take a picture of Kyle and Nana this afternoon :/ I am going to blame it on the bug that flew in Collin's ear and possibly bit it on the inside. Collin had me convinced we needed to see a doctor but some ear drops and understanding we might miss an opportunity to play with the cousins later that day cleared everything up :)

We enjoyed a great afternoon at Casey and Derek's house playing outside and relaxing. And enjoying B's production. Look closely and you can see her hair is straight (well, straight for her). She begged me to "flat urn" it... so I did.

I love my mother. And I love my mother in law. They continue to bless our lives more than they'll ever know!

10 Months

Not too much new to report at 10 months, but there are a few things below that I want to have for memory sake. Ty is still Mr. Nosey Busy and has to be up in the middle of everything that's going on... every game played, every time you touch the computer, everything you put in your mouth. He pretty much feels he needs to be a part of it ;) And if it is on the floor (even if no one in the house can even see it!), it goes in his mouth.
I tried to get the traditional sitting down in the corner of the crib pose for his monthly picture. Wasn't happening.
He wanted to stand.

Then pull on the blinds.

Then crawl around the crib and laugh hysterically when I tried to take a picture.

Then he tried to tear down the mobile. And I decided our photo shoot should end :)

Here are some TyTy facts:

  • He got another tooth. Well, 2 actually. Another bottom right and a top right one. Both are just peeping through the gums. I'll have to get Lolly to tell me the actual name, ha.
  • He says MAMA!! Whoo hoo! And of course he means it! :)
  • He can play "Where's Ty" (our version of peek a boo)
  • Food is his friend. We have to stay on top of his bottles to make sure he gets enough formula. But that is really not what he wants. He eats anything he doesn't choke on.
  • He wants to walk so bad!! But who knows when he'll turn loose and go for it.
  • His naps are getting better (FINALLY!!) If he can get good ones, he takes about 2 naps a day with maybe a short 3rd one squeezed in.
  • He cries true hurt feelings tears when we tell him "No No". Yes, we already say it. We can't have him tumbling into the shower, pulling things out of electrical sockets, and trying to climb stairs. I know it's hard to believe this sweet face can get in to mischief ;)

I can't lie though. He is a sweet, sweet baby boy.
