Hello Spring.

Even though it feels like we practically had no winter this year, Spring is already here! Last week was Spring Break and we did lots of fun things outside! The weather was so nice and warm.

I do love a princess with dirty hands :) :)
Here is Collin "rescuing" the princess. He does this often actually. Brantlee has the "damsel in distress" thing down pat.

Here he is fighting the evil dragon (Stella)

One day we went to Kamper Park with Lolly, Casey, Fischer, Tate, Kayce, Foxx and Cass.

We took a stroll around the zoo and rode the train of course!

We didn't get enough of the zoo apparently (ha!) and went to the NOLA zoo with the Burchfields. It was such a beautiful day to be there. Amy and I made it quite well with 5 kids and no male supervision ;) ;)

Friday night Kyle smoked some ribs and we enjoyed even more time outside.
Priceless!

Loving this big boy with bubbles and BBQ all over his face!

On Saturday, we loaded up for the day and went to the Coast for some shopping and to play on the beach.
Here we realized that kids care absolutely nothing about the color of the water. Water is water and sand is sand. They had a blast!!

So much fun!

My sweet hearts this morning before school :) :)

Happy Spring!!

Oh No! Mom!!

Those are words you really don't want to hear. Especially when you walk into the room and see an entire set of new paints splattered all over the floor! Collin was soooo disappointed in his accident.

Oops :( :(

Spring soccer has also begun. Because of all the rain that has soaked and ruined the fields, we have only played one game. Collin's first game was a little umm... shaky to say the least, ha. Poor little guy was playing defender and got pelted with the ball in the stomach. OUCH! I know it had to hurt! Not good for someone who is very apprehensive about sports to begin with. Needless to say, that incident pretty much ended his playing for the game. Poor little guy :(
Maybe next game will be better for him. IF we can get him out there ;)

Our little munchkins before church a couple weeks ago.

Yesterday was Brantlee's very first dentist appointment. That was another "Oh No" moment, ha! We all honestly had our doubts as to whether or not it was going to happen. After much bribery, she FINALLY cooperated and let Lolly clean and check her teeth with me holding her in my lap. She got a clear report. THANK GOODNESS! I can't imagine if she had needed something more done :/

Collin's check up was all clear and very low drama. He's a pro at going to the dentist by now :) He tried his best to reassure B that everything was fine and the dentist was no big deal. She wasn't buying it tho!

23 Weeks

We have FINALLY taken a belly picture of this pregnancy. Here is Baby Crager and I at 23 weeks. Sadly, I have nothing to compare this picture to from my other pregnancies, because for some reason I just never got around to taking pictures of me pregnant. Shame on me!!  I am pretty sure I was smaller at this point with Collin, being as it was the first pregnancy and all. And I honestly don't know how to compare it to this point with Brantlee.  Regardless, here we are!

Just a few things I want to jot down for the sake of memory:

  • Some days we think it's a girl, other days a boy
  • Both Collin and Brantlee say they want it to be a girl, but Collin says he's "sure it's a boy" ha!
  • No weird cravings thus far. Come to think of it, I really don't crave anything (boring, right?) except whatever I'm hungry for at the moment. I did go through a brief period of time where I could not get enough avocado! Or Chic Fil A! But not at the same time :)
  • I am feeling lots of movement these days (if I'll be still long enough to). Kyle has even felt some kicks from the outside. Baby is most active at night when I am reading stories to C & B. That's probably because it's one of the few times during the day that I am still. Or it could be that he/she likes to hear stories as much as Collin and Brantlee do :)
  • Baby's heart rate has continued to be right smack in the middle at almost every visit, usually in the 150's.
  • Other than some occasional heartburn, this baby is doing me right so far.
  • The extreme fatigue left about a month ago, thus the reason I am up blogging, catching up on my shows, online shopping, etc until midnight... just like my old self, ha
  • I am enjoying feeling good for now. Heat, swelling and much more growth is on its way!!

Daddy's Birthday

This weekend was Kyle's birthday. He turned the big 3-1! We started celebrating on Friday morning because the kids couldn't wait any longer to give him his gifts. We all three each got to pick out a card to give him- any card we wanted.  So of course the card opening was pretty humorous to Kyle ;) ;)

Collin gave him one that sang and B gave him one with a princess cat on the front, ha!

Friday night we went out with some friends for dinner and a movie. C & B stayed with Lolly and Poppy, and Fischer got to stay too. Not sure which was more exciting, adult conversation and fun or staying with Lolly & Poppy. Judging by the picture I think I know!

Sunday was Kyle's actual birthday, so we went out to lunch with Nana, Poppa, and Aunt Eloyce after church (where we possibly embarrassed Kyle with cake and candles.)
Not sure what's up with this face...

Or this one, ha!

Maybe he wasn't too terribly embarrassed.
With little kids, you just can't have a birthday in the house without cake and blowing out candles no matter how old you are. You just can't.

Happy Birthday to our sweet, sweet Daddy!!
We LOVE you more than words can say!

Water Puddle

We have gotten soooo much rain here lately - it is about to wear out its welcome! I mean there is only so much you can do indoors and only so many times you can watch Peter Pan (our newest obsession).  Finally the sun came out this afternoon, and we found a nice water puddle to splash in and get messy :) Plus it was 80 degrees on the first day of March, hence the no shirt, ha.

In other indoor news, we are doing fruit basket turnover at our house right now. We have already given up our dining room to make room for the desk/office/den area.  Who needs a formal dining area anyway? Not us right now! ha. Mom and I are in the process of updating some old furniture that was in the guest room, which will soon be Brantlee's room.  Brantlee's current room, the one across the hall from our bedroom, will be the nursery/guest bed... one day :) Collin got new curtains and a reorganized closet and toy shelf, which makes me no longer break out into hives when I go in there.  Half of the fabric came in for Baby Crager's room and the rest is on its way! Yay! Not sure who is happier that I finally made a decision, me or Mom ;)

We have a vision for all the rooms that I'm really excited about, but right now it feels like one big mess! We are almost done with this dresser (that belonged to Kyle's parents ever since they first got married). It is just beautiful!! And that makes almost one thing to check off the list. Can't wait for all the finished projects!
