Shaving Cream

The other day Collin shared that they practiced spelling words with shaving cream on their desks. In regards to an upcoming spelling test, he thought we should do this at home too to study. Sounded like a good idea to me. It wasn't exactly productive...
But it was fun apparently!

And speaking of shaving cream, Collin had to "shave" before his school pictures. When his eyes opened that morning, he popped out of bed (extremely unlike him) and headed for the bathroom :) :)

Poor Ty has battled allergies and crusty swollen eyes. He IS his daddy's child.

But some big boy room updates have him excited to play with his toys in his room!

Last weekend it rained enough to float a boat so we had to find some activities. Sister, Ty and I went to a church festival and had a nice time. Kyle and C met some of his school friends in Hattiesburg to play at the indoor jump place.

Ty and I are two peas in a pod on school days. I wish we were more productive with our time but it's hard with Tornado Ty. In between our grocery run and errands and picking up B from school, we stopped for some fresh air...

Car pick up line(s) are MOST fun when TyTy isn't napping  and is crumbling crackers up and trying to squirm out of his seat. Good stuff.

Our little reader. He was looking up some scripture ... He said he needed to read it Brantlee, ha!

Miss B is almost 5!! And she really wants an American Girl Doll, but we told her she has to prove she can care for one and not give it haircuts or make up with markers and such. She and this regular doll are thick as thieves these days. Fingers crossed somebody pulls through with an AG doll ;)

We have a wild week coming up ... Gymnastics, soccer games, Grandparents Day at B's school, Fall Festival at Collin's school, and cleaning out for a rummage sale for this weekend. Let's do it!!

We have a climber

And let me just say how fast this little climber is. Don't let that sweet face fool you, this boy is such a little monster!! A cute and really sweet monster of course.
I was unloading the car and letting him play in the garage. Didn't take him long to get here AND turn the hazard lights on.
I know Ty... I feel the same way when all my fruit snacks are gone. They really should put more in a pack.

Enough picking on Ty Ty. I need to share Collin and Brantlee's Saturday afternoon lemonade stand. I explained that people might be afraid to stop if they were just in underwear :). They put on more clothes, but it didn't do a whole lot for business :)

Sweet B. Here she is working on her own "homework" since Collin always has some. She is a full out lefty and so I am all concerned about how to help her with writing and such. It's such a right handed world! I suppose she'll figure it out just like she does everything else. Miss Independent.

Collin is finally (hopefully) settling down with school. We can tell he is starting to bond with some new friends. And he is adjusting to his new routine and trying to keep his nerves under control :/ We bought him a watch so he can keep up with his day. He has never liked the unexpected. Which he gets completely honestly from his Mama! His grades are fantastic and he talks nonstop about all he does at school.

We went to a friend's birthday party at Mitchell Farms recently. Very fun party.

Here is our new addition, Millie!! She was a hunting dog of Poppa's who needed a lifestyle change. She is the sweetest, calmest little dog. Perfect for the kids.
Stella can't stand to be upstaged. Obviously. But she loves her new friend! And so do we!

Goodbye Summer

Even though it is still blazing hot, we are slowly letting go of summer.  We celebrated  a nice Labor Day weekend with football, the grill and some swimming.  There are a few unrelated pictures thrown in here too.

Tyty was ready for some football last Thursday night.

A couple of weekends ago we had soccer sign ups.  The kids were in the spirit of soccer and dressed themselves for the morning. We couldn't convince sister to play, so it will just be Collin this season. Ready for soccer season!!

We visited MeeMaw and Pammie over the weekend and enjoyed some treats. They are always prepared with snacks!

Some brotherly love swinging at Mug Shots last Saturday night.

Brantlee started back gymnastics and I had to practically beg her to let me take this picture. Oh those shorts!!  She is loving gym and wants to practice her cart wheels all the time.

He really might be a redneck.... Enjoying some shooting practice on Labor Day with Poppy.

Trying to squeeze in some pool time before our time runs out this year.

Our friends the Beddingfield's joined us for dinner one night last weekend.

This past Sunday was promotion Sunday and everyone moved up a class. Collin has moved upstairs to the children's department.
Sister and I are in planning mode for her 5th birthday. It has been EVERYBODY else's birthday except hers ;) She was doing a little research here for her party in about a month. After considering Strawberry Shortcake & Power Rangers (yes, that was a serious possibility), she has decided on a Lalaloopsy theme. We'll see how that turns out. Miss B has her own ideas about things here lately...
