A little gardening

Kyle has been working super hard on planting our garden this year. Last year we had a much smaller version, but this year Kyle has decided to expand. Over the course of March Kyle has planted blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry bushes, two cherry bushes, four plum trees, a patch of potatoes, green onions, tomatoes, squash, peppers, cucumbers, egg plant, strawberries, and watermelon. We are also making an attempt at lettuce. Oh, and don't forget the small herb garden on the patio :) Green beans, peas, corn, and cantaloupe are possibly on their way to being planted. He hasn't planted a large amount of each thing, just a little of each but we are excited!

Let me just say that this is NOT the man I married, ha! But I am loving this Farmer Brown stage. Every morning he goes out to water and check the vegetation. And every evening (that we are home) we have to take a family stroll around the back yard to see the progress and inspect everything. It's really so much fun for the kids, especially Collin. They even have their very own strawberry plant that is totally their responsibility to water :) At their request of course! We'll see how our summer progresses. Here are just a few shots of our start to a garden.

We shall see...

Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Btw..I think this is something that happens when men get older. Adam wanted to plant watermelons in our backyard. Like have an entire watermelon patch in our backyard..just forget the swing set and everything ;)
