Pretend Beach Trip

Last weekend to close out our Spring Break, we took a quick trip with Nana and Poppa to the coast to enjoy the nice weather and do some shopping. We loaded up enough stuff to last us a week and headed out of town.
Ready to go!

We went to the beach first just to see how the kids would like it this year. In the past 2 years, they haven't really loved the beach like we had hoped. I think this year will be a different story when we head down to the real beach this summer.

We hoped they would be content with just the sand and digging.

And we really hoped the water would be too cold to get in.

But  they couldn't stand it. The water was perfect for splashing around!
Thank goodness last year's swimsuits still fit!

We got such a nice treat on the beach. The Blue Angels air show was last Saturday in Biloxi. We got to watch the jets/planes (???) practice. It was amazing!! I can't imagine what the actual show was like.

They flew a little too low and too loud for our crew ;)

We enjoyed a nice dinner at a beach side restaurant before we hit the outlets.

Saturday morning we headed to a St. Paddy's Day festival in Biloxi.
Collin and Brantlee enjoyed the jumps most of all.

All that jumping called for a cold snowcone, of course.

Shortly after, we did a little more shopping and headed back home and got ready for the real world to start again. Aren't 24 hour trips the best?!

Love all the pics! Glad they liked the beach. Jackson has always loved the water and sand :)
