Easter 2010

Happy Easter to all! We have had a wonderful day and weekend spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, we celebrate the freedom we have in Jesus Christ because of the sacrifice He made for us so many years ago.

"For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:10-11

Before and after church we tried for some family photos, but you know how that usually goes ;) We finally got some candid shots in the yard. Not too many smiles this morning but that's okay.

And of course, the Easter Bunny came this morning to drop off some treats and hide our eggs.
Naturally, Brantlee woke up earlier than Collin, and it was really hard to keep her away from their treats. We shortly had to wake up Collin or the party would have started without him.

Brantlee got a baby that makes noises and talks when you give her a bottle.

Brantlee wondered if you get the same effect with an apple ;)

Collin got a cool dinosaur/dragon that growls and walks. Kind of scary to me, but he LOVES it!

Collin hunting the eggs this morning. He cared more about the chocolate inside than anything else of course.

We had a huge gathering at mom and dad's this afternoon. Both sides of our family came. We ate lots of food and played very hard. The kids were willing to pose for a quick picture after their egg hunt. The fact that they are all being still and looking in the general direction of the camera is a miracle! Of course it helped that all the adults were singing "The Wheels on the Bus" and doing the motions to distract them. Hey, whatever works right?!

Court, the kids are PRECIOUS I love the Easter pics. Harrison didn't care about the eggs either, he took out the prize and threw down the shell! Glad you guys had a great day!

Collin and Brantlee looked absolutely adorable in their Easter outfits! And you are totally my inspiration with all this running nonsense! Glad you are OK after your scare!
