The Fair

We had a great time at the fair this year. Both kids were fearless and were able to ride whatever they wanted. Ty did not attend and I started to have a twinge of mommy guilt over it. Then we got there and I was reminded that we made a good choice. He spent the night with Lolly and we could focus on just the big kids. We stayed out too late on a school night and ate too much food. Exactly what should happen once a year!

B and I had a girls day and went to Rotary Fest a while back. It was one of the most beautiful fall days.

Fall also means the kids pass around the crud and we end up making multiple dr visits :/

We decided Chuck E Cheese is Ty's idea of heaven. Lots of space to run around and push a million buttons and not get told 'No' a single time!

Date night with Collin happened last weekend. It was an unexpected date, which are the best kind. I am realizing more and more how important one on one time is with each child. I cherish it!

It was so cold this past week and nobody understood why they had to wear shoes and coats to play outside. It's like pulling teeth! Mississippi problems I suppose.

Halloween 2013

I would say Halloween was a success this year! We decided we needed more than just one night to wear the costumes, so we went to Zoo Boo earlier that week.  It was actually scary (well at least for one of the children below) but fun nonetheless. Plus it got us in the fall spirit.

B felt so sassy in her cheer suit.  Uncle Derek and Aunt Casey are so proud of their little cheerleader. And THEY are the ones fully responsible for the costume. Let's clarify that!
Collin was all about being a brave warrior. I think he was inspired by his school mascot... only Collin :)
Super Ty Man! I wasn't about to attempt a full blown costume with this fella. No sir.  Not after our Elmo costume disaster.  So Lolly whipped out this shirt, which was just perfect for him!

Getting up close and personal with the reptiles at the zoo.

On Halloween night we had some horrible weather but it held off for a little trick or treating at the great grandparents' houses.  Here is Mee Maw with her little costumers. They stopped by  and visited Mimi' & Paw Paw too. Lolly was kind enough to snap some pictures. Meanwhile Kyle and I were at church frantically getting ready for our Trunk or Treat festival that had to be moved inside at the last minute.

As it turns out, it was a great success despite the rain and change in plans!

More catching up on fall things coming soon! (Hopefully!)

Fall Frenzy

We've had plenty to keep us busy this fall, and there is still more to come. Here is life through the iPhone the last few weeks.... Ty turned 15 months and I plan to have another post on that. This little stink pot is not a baby anymore :( :(

Collin is losing all his teeth! I have to insert a funny Collin story here.  He has recently tried to rip off the Tooth Fairy by slipping his previously lost teeth under his pillow in hopes that she might not realize the teeth are old...

We have been in pumpkin mode and I LOVE it! C had to decorate one for a contest at his school festival. B of course had to decorate one too.

Waiting in car line for Collin before we have to jet off to gymnastics. iPad and a family size bag of Doritos. Why not?!

Then we have to high tail it back home to eat and change clothes for Tuesday soccer games. Whew!

Collin's finished pumpkin...

Collin's class took a trip to Fulmer's Farm. Very neat experience.

We had a family gathering in Stateline with the Cragers recently. The highlight (besides dessert) was looking through old pictures.

Sister had to get her 5 year boosters. And although this was a "before" picture and the mood was still upbeat, she did really really great! I was so proud that she handled it like a lady and I didn't have to resort to bribery not once :)

Possibly having a little too much fun with the Dollar Tree mustaches.

Pumpkin carving at Lolly's!

Playing outside til dark in the crisp fall air...

I went with some ladies from church to a women's conference last weekend. It was wonderful!! And much needed. We came back emotionally cleansed and spiritually revived! And bearing a few autographed cd's too.

Collin hopped in the car and flashed this even MORE toothless smile. I can't take it!!

Brantlee Turns 5

We have pretty much celebrated the entire week that Brantlee has turned 5.  She has loved EVERY minute of it. Her only disappointment is that she didn't wake up on her birthday and "look 5 years old." ;) ;) She certainly looks grown up enough for us... too grown up actually. She had several sweet friends and cousins come celebrate at her Lalaloopsy party. Here she is reluctantly posing for a picture.
She would MUCH rather be with her friends :)
More sweet friends...

Make a wish sweet B!

Pretty sure the brothers enjoyed the refreshments.

Turns out Nana & Poppa and MeeMaw did pull through with an AG doll. Julie is now an official part of our family! She has been to church & had lunch after and is enjoying her new pajamas and bed.  Between her and the Lalaloopsy dolls Lolly & Poppy gave her, B may not ever make it out of her room. It's good to be 5!

Birthday morning on her actual birthday.
Cupcakes with her school friends.

Ty was the highlight I think.
Speaking of school, Grandparent's Day was a couple of weeks ago at B and Fischer's school. They performed a sweet little program and then had some snacks.

Some very blessed kiddos!

We can't get over how much our B is growing up! Her personality is something I can't really put into words; she is truly one of a kind. So spunky, smart, sassy, and outgoing, but sweet and loving too. You NEVER know what is about to come out of that mouth. But you can bet it is genuine, at least :) I don't worry about her too much because I know she will take care of herself... and everyone else too if she needs to. We love you baby girl! And we are so very proud of you!!
