Back to the beach

Last week we got to spend a week at Sea Grove Beach with Lolly & Poppy and the Reids. We LOVE going to the beach in September. Fall was in the air, and the weather was wonderful! With eleven people (including 5 small children/babies) in the house together for a week, there was never a dull moment, ha! It was tons of fun, and we all did really well I think. We made some precious memories. It is such a blessing that our kids can grow up so close to cousins and have experiences like we had this past week. Priceless! We were a little apprehensive about having two babies so young (Tate being 16 months and Ty only 10 weeks!). We were busy, busy, busy the whole time, but we wouldn't trade it for the world. Fortunately, Poppy brought his golf cart (genius idea!) and when little people got fussy, we just went for a cruise through the peaceful neighborhood. We only dined out twice, once in Seaside and once in Panama City. The rest of the time we enjoyed some delicious home cooked meals at the house. We took some family pictures on the last night of vacation. I'll have to post those in a later post.

Collin stayed busy swimming in the ocean and collecting shells and sand crabs, of course.

Sister loved the beach and the ocean this time! She fought the waves just like the boys.

Fischer and Collin were pretty much inseparable.

Tate won the award for most active. He is quite possibly the cutest thing ever. He kept us all laughing... and running ;) ;)

Poppy made the kids a sand mermaid. Oh how I remember these sand creatures from childhood! Thanks for bringing them back Dad!

TyTy enjoying some beach time.

A few days the ocean waves were pretty rough. This made for some fun boating ;)

Ty would pass out the minute he hit the beach in his carrier... so that's where he stayed. He slept for hours on the beach, especially in the mornings.

Because Collin is in "big school" now, we worked hard keeping him up to date on his school work.

Mr. Smiley excited about it all :) :)

We got into a serious water balloon fight one afternoon.

Sunset in Seaside. Beautiful.

I could have included about 20 more favorite pictures here. So grateful for all the memories!! Thank you Lolly and Poppy for an unforgettable beach trip!
